Good, Well Vented Helmets with Insect Nets
I've done some searching (here and on the google), and I'm not coming up with many recent hits for good road helmets with insect nets. Got stung wildly last fall as my friend and I rode into a giant swarm of large bees, and I vowed to replace my helmet with a front-netted one (my friend with the net, got no stings). I'm finally getting around to it now that spring is here. I sweat like a bus driver, so I don't want any homebrew options--there has to be good venting.
So far, it looks like these are the options here in the US (and I'm only able to find the Uvex and the top-of-the-line Kask locally:
Uvex Sport Boss/Boss Race
Kask Vertigo/K.10/Evo (seems like the nets, sold separately, aren't available yet though)
Limar Ultralight 104
Any other suggestions? Any personal faves? Thanks in advance!

i have an LAS istrion that i got online from realcyclist. bonktown has it occasionally too. venting seems fine to me, although i'm not sure how discerning i really am for that kind of thing. comes with two sets of pads: a one-piece net and a set of regular padding strips. helmet is comfortable and i really like it so far.

this may be a MTB helmet but its actually very light, and I just use it without the visor:
UVEX Supersonic

I also have the road specific UVEX FP 3.1, but I actually like my supersonic more because of the huge vents (which are netted) and lighter weight.

So, um, this seems like something that could be fixed relatively easily with a 5 minute DIY project. I mean, do what you want, but why not buy the helmet you like the most, with or without a net, and just make something with something like this?

(Only the netting part!)

You should really look into the Redimos and Mostro lines from OGK Kabuto
they look great
195g for L size (Mostro)
always nice to have something different
insect net included
super comfortable
I have a silver mostro and i love it

Don't know about the others, but the Uvex is more like a screen than a net so it won't tear.
The cage and knob adjustment on the Uvex works perfectly for me. The Giros I tried dug into the back of my head and were more like a medieval torture device.

It's not just bees that get into my helmet. Deer flies are a big deal sometimes where I ride. I wish that screening in helmets was more the norm than it is. I had a screened helmet once, but haven't seen one in stores in year now.
