Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

FSA Compact Bars

Is there anyone here who's ridden with both K-Wing Compact and other FSA Compact fit bars?

Are they different or are all FSA Compact bars the same in the drops?

From what I can tell, they all seem to be 125mm drops. I have the Omega Compact and love it.

I didn't like that they're slightly narrower at the hoods.

Did you even look at FSA's web site?
https://www.fullspeedahead.com/catego.../36/HANDLEBARS
All the dimensions are right there. Looks like all the compacts are 125mm drops with 80mm reach.
FWIW I own both the Omega and the Wing Compact and they are both great. The omega has a rounded top, the Wing Compact has a flat top.
And save yourself some cash and get the alloy bars. You can get the Omegas for $40 the K-wings for slightly more.

edit: I don't know why I like the flat tops of the k-wings better, but I do, especially when climbing.

I'm just thinking of something a little more aggressive for my next rig.
Something stiffer, but with the same compact dimensions.
I was hoping to get actual experiences from riders who've used both
(as in comparing real word riding to numbers on a site or specs in a catalog).

Thanks for the info guys.

I have the K-Wing Compact and I'm pretty happy with the fit. So much so that I have them on two of my main bikes.
