The palms of my hands are hairy and sweat a ton on longer rides. Should I shave them, get better breathing gloves or just get a girlfriend?

You guys are HILARIOUS!...........and no, I don't shave.

Assuming you don't have thick heavy hair, I would think that you look like a man with leg hair.

I guess it is another double standard because I prefer that woman shave everything below the eyebrows.

Fixed

There's a big article in this month's Bicycling about shaving.

Commentary from pros on the "real reasons" for doing so. Also, the suggested "tools" and some tips.

What's the drag coefficient of leg hair?

Now there's an interesting question!

In the article, Leipheimer says this is an important consideration.

I should probably pick that up .... Sounds like it has all the answers in 1 place.

I find that mine gets worn off as my knuckles scrape along the ground.

I've taken a break in shaving, being off the bike after a bad crash. My 5 year-old saw me in shorts and said "Dad, you have fur!"

robbleebob 05-28-11 08:53 PM

Shaving your legs, okay. Arm hair, what's the story there??

ricohman 05-28-11 11:19 PM

I like my wife's legs shaved.
But I'm a dude, so I don't shave anything but my face.

I don't even shave my face if I can at all help it.

read the article... nothing new or inspiring... oddly enough, one day I just started receiving it (the magazine)... never ordered it though ( I find that strange ).

I guarantee you that KY jelly is way better as a shaving lotion than foam based shaving gels you can get from gillette or neutrogina.

+1

If I ride topless, should I shave my armpits?

...I'm a dude...

That arm pit hair is slowing you down with excessive wind drag.
Better pull it out in big clumps.
