Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'll send him one to see if he responds:

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
You used to ride a bicycle,
But now you're getting fat.

Another poem received with laughter.

I'm beyond help.

The 3-State ride was in early May. Try to keep up.

Instead of going to those barren peaks out west for vacation, you should have come down here to some real mountains . . . and brought your bike. I would have whipped you into shape, if possible.

You've got to wonder about a forum where the moderators lock and/or delete the most popular threads. But this one should be safe.

Meanwhile,

In case you were wondering, your bike will fit in this car. I wouldn't mind owning this bike/car combination.

does it come with the Felt? My bike fits in the back seat of my truck with both wheels on. But I also have a redneck bike rack (2x4 with a front fork holder)

Not so cheap, but I think el Prince can afford one.

I do not have that car, thus I was not wondering.

I found the last sentence of that "Will the bike fit" article confounding..."You'd see what I was talking about if this photo were at all legible."

My sister and brother-in-law are attending a wedding. They have to make alternative plans (one attend the wedding, one attend the reception, or some such arrangement) because they were informed that the wedding doesn't want kids around.

Is this very common?

It is getting more common. Restaurants are also asking folks to leave the kids at home.

I think it is a fair request.

Yes, common. That's what they make baby sitters for.

How are grown folks supposed to have a good time with a bunch of crumbsnatchers running around out of control.

The Arizona Exile Bike fit in the trunk of my brother inlaw's CLK320, but I had to remove both wheels.
