How do you log your rides?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think the GPS/ Map features would be pretty cool to get into. Thanks to the OP and for the responses. rdog
The Node computers I believe have a running odometer as well. I had one for a short time but found the interface really terrible and non-intuitive. Bought an Edge 500 and I'm so glad I did.

Any old bike computer, so I have some numbers, and then log them at bikejournal.com . As they say: ride, log, and repeat.

Bikes: A trek

When I ordered my edge 500 bundle I was regretting all that cash until I plugged it on my bike. Since that day, it's mostly the most useful piece of equipment I got and I believe it to be one of my best investment so far. NO regrets at all.

One of the reasons I got the Edge 500 is the ANT+ compatibility. I eventually plan to get a PT wheel, when I have enough saved up.

Node 1 plus free Cycling Log on my iPod. Maybe next year I'll make the move to a Garmin, but since I tend to ride the same basic routes, I think the main thing I'm missing is elevation and I'm happy enough with it for now.

Trying out Sportypal. Not much info on the phone app itself. But very cool when uploaded!

This.
You don't need the wireless version though ... the wired version is a lot cheaper and only uses one battery that can get empty ... it is also less prone to interference.

Distance, Time, Avg Speed, etc. I've been looking for an app on my Android, but have no convenient way to carry it on board while riding... it wont fit in my saddle bag, haven't seen a handlebar mount, don't wear a jersey (so no pockets)...

Just curious what you guys do to keep track of yourself. I'd like to see the improvement over time since I'm a noob.
Endomondo.com

Free. Easy. Consistent. I use with my iPhone but they have Android app too.

I use MapMyRide iphone app. I record the data from my cateye strada wireless computer onto a google doc spreadsheet.

Google Docs are pretty much the bomb-diggity

This works for now but I will eventually upgrade to a Garmin 500. I want to see my cadence. badly.

Garmin Edge 500 and Garmin Connect. I use Bike Toaster to map rides and down load to the Edge for route guidance. Best bike accessory I've ever bought.

Got a Cateye wired, and started using mapmyride. So far, I really like the app, and it only takes a few minutes to map the ride. Logs time, miles, etc. I like being able to map a ride out before I go, and have the profile as well. Just wish I'd have won a prize in the contest.....

absolutely love my garmin edge 500 w heart rate and cadence monitors. I use the cadence and heart rate the most plus training center and connect are a nice addition to an already great toy/tool.
