Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Explain Caffeine in Supplements

I have always enjoyed caffeinated supplements like Zipvit, Gu, Hammer, etc.

I started thinking about it, and caffeine is a constrictor, so why is it considered good to have while you are exercising? I know it gives you an adrenaline boost and such, but it seems counterproductive.

Explain?

since the caffeine increases blood pressure and heart rate, perfusion of blood to the organs will be greater. meaning that your muscles and organs are getting blood faster.

however, there is a crash will caffeine.

Yeah supposedly it liberates free fatty acids...but I can't really say that makes a difference.

ps please don't ask if they are already "free" why do they need to be liberated!
