Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pcad's Basic Time Trial Strategy

In equipping my Cervelo P3 TT bike with Di2, I can't help but think of my hero Wiley Coyote, and how my own behavior reminds me of his.

Wiley Coyote just needed some EPO.

Blood transfusions are OK because it's your own blood.

Right??

And yet, he never lost sight of the target.

Did he?

That coyote was a Hero to me as a kid. Never, ever quit.

Of course he never had Roadrunner pie either...

I thought Pcads three rules of time trialing were: 1) Start Slow 2) Go slow and 3) Finish slow.. No rocket propulsion involved.

My last TT was 23.7 mph over 21 miles. That may be slow, but it's fast for me.

No, and especially no if they have clenbuterol in them too.

Oh wait, the jury is still out on that one.

He does appear to be your hero; you are both delusional in that you think that you are both a Super Genius.

Well for what it's worth (admittedly, nothing) I'm impressed, old man.

I believe that figure is confidential due to an on-going criminal investigation.

Because he's so slow it's a CRIME!

That should rocket up to 23.8 mph with Di2.

Acme sure had some lousy products. What was with the guidance system on that rocket? He must have filed a warranty claim and got a replacement.

Not for nothing, but S&P didn't downgrade my credit rating this week.

You'll see, you'll all see.

I'll tell you what will help on that TT. It's long, and reaching for a water bottle doesn't help you. I'm going to try riding that TT bike with the camelback on like B. Julich. Good idea. I just have to see if I can be comfortable with that on my back.

+1
That's what it's all about. Back in 2000 I spent money on stocks and other money on a road bike. The best investment by far was the Klein Quantum I bought. The stock money all just watered down my gains from the previous 5 years ;-(
Market-timers - hate to say this but - my money's in road bikes again this year - watch out!

I have one, and I wish it came with a belt or something. It slides forward and hits the rear of your head. Maybe it has something to do with my broad shoulders and narrow torso :/
