I bought one a year ago. I use it on all my bikes, and my car. |
Don't let the bike snobs talk you out of buying something related to bike parts at Walmart. That particular pump is an excellent pump! In fact I bought one when my 18 year old Silca wore out and to buy a rebuild kit would had cost me $40 so I bought that Zefal at Walmart instead and it works great. The only minor problem is the foot stand is made of plastic and on the flimsy side so be careful, and the other slight problem is the pump freely turns on the plastic foot stand so you have to once in awhile twist the pump while holding the foot stand to line it back up; neither problem has been a hassle. It pumps very easily up to the my max psi's I put in my tires of 110, and the gauge...at least mine, has been very accurate. And the easy to use flip switch for switching from Presta to Schrader works very well too.
Sure you can buy better pumps but for what cost? twice as much? three times as much? even more! My Silca was a great pump and it lasted 18 years, if this Walmart Zefal lasts 9 years and I have to buy another I'm still ahead of just the rebuild kit for the Silca! I've already had my Walmart Zefal for 2 years and only paid $15 (on sale) for it. |
