Cheap AL frame options
I've been looking around to find some cheap AL frame options (400 or less, cheaper the better). I was thinking of the Nashbar frames, but the geo seems really weird. They seem to have short TT's. Are there any other good/cheap frame options? I'm asking because I have a ton of extra components laying around, and I might as well put them into a road bike for now.

Sweet, thanks for those. I'll check them out. I've been trying to figure out the weight of my old bike frame, but haven't found any info (2009 Scott Speedster S40 triple). All I know is that it was 20lbs complete, so not that light, with mostly Tiagra parts.

man I'm really into 90's aluminum aesthetic...personally, I would troll ebay for something cool, classic, and geometrically ideal (and without cracks or dents of course).

That was more or less the highlight of that site.

Check out the Soul Faith….in my opinion, I think it's every bit as good as the CAAD9 is…and that's the holy grail of aluminum frames.

I think it handled a little better. Road feel is a little more dampened on the 10. They are both great bikes..but for the price of the 10 I could get 2 of the Faiths.

Its a decent frame and that paint scheme is the MK-1 I believe, the newer version is a little better IMHO:

Staying in the UK Ribble Cycles do a line of ALU framesets in this pricepoint:

you could look at ebay carbon. I have a nashbar frame but it's the touring frame so if you are looking for a bike to cruise on that is relaxed, I would highly recommend it. It's been awesome as a commuter for me. I put a carbon CX fork on it so i can brake in crappy weather without issues. love it. But for $75, I would take a chance on the nashbar frame just to check it out. IT's just SOOO much cheaper than any other other options presented to you, it borders on being disposable.

Here's your followup
I went with the Nashbar road frame+fork. $175 shipped for both? Not bad to me.
I went with a new fork even though my old one looked fine, just to be safe.
Why did I go with this? Well there's a few reasons.
1- This bike will never be my serious bike. My Single Speed will stay my commuter. This bike is basically to throw all my components from my wrecked Scott on so they don't just sit there, n+1 right?
2- I plan to invest in a new roadie next year with my tax return. I finish paying off my car in Jan as well so it'll be a nice little reward for me. I'm still torn between the Soul Faith and the Caad10.
3- After research, I couldn't find any bad reviews regarding the Nashbar frames, other than asthetics (welds too big).
All in all, I think I made the right decision. I'll start a new thread or add to this one once I get it in
