Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I wouldn't trade this for anything in the world, except those stupid Sram chainrings didn't fair so well. It may not be an S5, but it looks better.

A custom geometry Moots RSL with internal Shimano Di2, Enve 1.0 fork painted to match, Moots Titanium seatpost and stem, DA tubeless clinchers for training, and Lightweight Obermayer tubulars for the nice days.

I guess it would look something like this (but without the blue bits and the Alpha Q fork):

I have a Trek, and it's an okay bike. It's no Cervelo however. Neither is a Felt for that matter.

De Rosa Neo Primato, and if it was custom it'd probably be a Sachs.

Calm down jrstudman81, it's just personal opinions being exchanged here.

after thinking about it a bit more, i'd go with a matte black colnago m10 or c59 with sram red black sans crank and get a hollowgram SRM w/ stronglight ct2 rings, 3T LTD cockpit, antares 00 saddle, lightweight wheels with vittoria tubs, dura ace pedals, dsp bartape, nokon or ilinks housing, arundel mandible bottle cages

this is the frame (from weight weenies user grid256)

I'm completely obsessed with that paint job, as well as that bike, but I have to ask, why not a Team Machine?

Well just from the paint job I like the race machine more and I think the only difference between team machine and race machine is lighter by couple 100 grams and slightly different geometry from what I've read

For me it would be the 2012 Raleigh Militis 3 frame only, since it's only offered with sram red. Upgrade it to Ultegra Di2 with a DA crank and Williams wheels.

I guess I was wrong, I thought you had to use the Look crankset with the 695. Do you have a picture of yours with the Quarq?

Different geometry = totally different bike. The seat stays on the Team Machine are soooooo small too. Bike rides very differently.

You can use any crank you want on the 695. Just needs the appropriate adapter.

Almost did it. Time also makes some of the sexiest bikes out there. I think Look and Time are my favorite bicycling manufacturers out there. It would be tough to choose between the 695 and the RXRS. Both would need Di2, of course.

Problem is, after being spoiled by the E-post on my 595 no other integrated seat post looks attractive to me.
