Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hello:

Have you tried taking out the insole before trying to remove the mounting plate?

Are the pedals attached to the bike? If they're not, I think it will be easier to remove them
if they're on the bike. If you have the most common SPD cleats, there are 3 ways to release
them from the pedals. Heel out, heel in and heel up. Try all three. If you're still having
problems with the mounting, try posting some photos so it will be easier for members to see
the exact problem(s).

I got them off with a screwdriver and praying i wouldnt take off a finger haha.I learned the hard way that i should get help before i do this stuff
My mounting plate got messed up in a way that it strips screws when you use them so i had to flip it over and pray the screws hold.
