Ron

Link does not work.

PCad,

Any problems installing or operating? LBS has never installed DA Di2 before, not sure if it is a big deal.

Crap..its on labicitoronto's twitter feed...will try and find a working link....

JimF22003 09-07-11 05:15 AM

I saw it installed yesterday on a bike at my LBS. So at least one set exists on an OEM bike. Definitely looks a lot clunkier than DuraAce Di2 (except for the front wiring harness which is much cleaner.)

I'll be installing it when I rebuild my repaired R3SL whenever the aftermarket kit ships (October? November? April??)

only one shifter?

lazerzxr 10-04-11 08:05 PM

I never understood why they would put two buttons on the front shifter - there is no point. Anyway IME my DA Di2 is smoother and more posative feeling than U Di2.

Too Funny...

The Ultegra Di2 Upgrade Kit includes the Ultegra Di2 Shift/brake levers, front and rear Ultegra Di2 derailleurs, and the five wires to connect it all. ... The kit also includes a battery and battery mount along with a charger and cable. This is the minimum amount of gear that you'll need to run Di2, so you won't spend any more than necessary.

They are obviously trying to capitalize on the fact that they are the first to have it available (that I know of) for purchase. That's way too much money. I'm waiting until it starts showing up on eBay. I'll get the entire group w/ crankset, brakes, chain, and cassette for that much.

Doesn't it come with an extension cord, or is that extra? ;)

I know a guy that (stupidly) bought a Government Motors Chevy Volt. Now he gets to plug in his car AND his bike.

well, I'd have thought they'd have put both of them in the picture. maybe that's just me, though.

That is a LOT of cranks left...:p

hamsey 10-06-11 09:24 AM

CC has the 7th as the in stock date. Called LBS to find out about stock but have not heard back. They have the 17th as the stock date with the exception of the FD which might be coming in Nov. Like PCAD says "vaporware".

Nice price for the entire Di2 group with the bike ... :thumb:

Got DA Di2 for a few hundred more than U Di2. Went out this past weekend. Nice. Front derailleur shifts like butter.
