Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Help me pick a frame!

I currently have a BD bike using a Fuji Frame. I'm building a new bike using a Chinese Carbon frame. I'm trying to find which frame to go with here. My Fuji is slightly too large as I'm using a 80mm stem, so I'm looking at the 52CM this time around. I'm also looking for something more aggressive to race on next summer, but still comfortable enough for my every-day trainer for 60+ mile rides.

I have compiled the following geometries. My current is the Fuji at top. I'm kind of leaning toward the FM001, but that has the smallest TT by far, but the FR108 that has a slightly longer TT also has a longer HT. Opinions?

Kind of hard to tell so I'll recommend the one in the middle, plus 'Chinerello' sounds pretty cool.

What instrument do you play?

After a little more research, I think I'm going with this bike. $405 shipped with the headset and an extra hanger.

FR301
TT 540
ST 52
HT 140
HTA 72.5
STA 73.5
WB 977

Tapered Head, internal cable routing for brake and shift cables. Inbetween sizes (which is what I seem to be anyways, between a 52 and 54)

I don't. I used to play clarinet back in Jr high a decade ago when I created this username. It just kind of stuck. I also go by caverunner17

Two questions I have. I'm also purchasing the Jagwire cables. Since these are integrated cables, where would the barrel adjusters go?

Also, I'm thinking of buying this seatpost for $38. Full carbon, 200g (that seems light). How does the seat actually mount to it? It isn't like one of the seatposts I've ever seen before

Looks to me like the two aluminum prongs clamp the rail to the top of the post, and the some with the other side.

made a change. Got the 50cm. I've been using a 80mm stem. I figured with the new bike I'd also be using an 80cm stem so it made sense to get the 50 that had a tt of 525 instead of 540 [reduction of 20mm from my current frame that is 545] hoping I would be able to use the 100mm stem, also making the bike a little more aggressive.

at least thats the theory? Am I wrong? Geometry below 52 vs 50
