I Rode My Bike With The Big Boys This Morning
You all were right, I was worrying over nothing.
It's not as nerve racking as I thought, and taking pulls only made me nervous at first, wondering if I was going too fast or too slow.
The training wheels are off now.

I always ride training wheels on group rides. Don't want to deal with a tubular flat miles from home.

No fights...
Big boys = a few local cat1/2/3 guys
I offered to take them to Circle K but they didn't want a slurpee.
Tubular flats suck.

did you even think about dropping the gloves? did you yell at anyone? did anyone yell at you?
If the answer is no, then this thread is boring.

Good stuff man! Group rides are way more fun than riding solo. riding with people at that level will only make you a better/stronger/smarter rider.

I already miss the earlier post, it was kinky. Bear hugs, aggressive slightly erotic, handcuffs.

So your first ride was with 1/2/3's? If so you kept up or did they take it easy?

I kept up on the flats, got dropped on the two small climbs we did, and gave 105% on the downhills in order to catch back up. I finished at the same time they did, but there were times during the ride where I was by myself, and there were other times when I was able to ride in the group both pulling and being pulled. Hell, I never rode with a "fast" group before... 25mph solo I can do for about a mile... in a group like that, in the middle or back of a 10 rider pack I can keep that up all day. I knew it was easier in a group, but I didn't realize it was that much easier.
