For all the BF Bashers who continue to post here...

Well stated!
I must confess there are tidbits of cycling wisdom and knowledge here on BF, but they are floating around in a massive Ocean of White Noise within a Sea of Stupid. I try to contribute to both. The white noise is more fun. Stupid is generally fun. Hence the real value of this place.

I noticed the same thing. I would post questions here, road bike review, mtbr, and singletracks and usually (actually probably always) the most participation and quality of responses was here. There are always a percentage of infantile responses (including some of my own) but it's usually small, usually overwhelmed by better responses, and probably just someone having a bad day or bored at the office. But there are definitely some quality members here that have helped me jump start my new hobby immensely, and tolerated a bunch of my newbie questions politely.
People just find commonality in complaining. Who DOESN'T go to a water cooler to ***** about their job??
(btw, my favorite threads to showcase the BF...do you need a helmet?...is steel better than carbon?...why not buy from BikesDirect?...should i stop at all red lights?..
!!

!!I've gotten great info here that led me to building up my bike and getting geared up.
And not for nothing, but the Mods here are the best.
(please make that brownnosing credit out to "2ndGen" @ ...)
But seriously, the Mods here are cool.

Reminds me of the stigma with the teacher's lounge. Lucky for me, the pack has changed from a bunch of close-to-retirement whiners who would just utter one name and it would snowball from there, to a bunch of science and math teachers who talk about math, sports, and Iron Chef. Oh, we do complain about the food.

I'm not that old but I can recall the teacher's lounge back in my day. It was so hazy from smoke you couldn't see exactly who was in there until you actually were in front of them. I don't think there was anybody under 70 in there but then again that could have been due to the perspective of my very young eyes. I hated going into the teacher's lounge - occasionally I'd have to bring a form to another teacher at lunch and enter that zone of intimidation.

I think we can do this without leaving our homes, which is far more convenient.

When I was in high school, the teacher's lounge doubled as the green room for music and drama productions since it was attached to the auditorium. They really should have learned to keep the sugar cubes hidden.

I love WW, but it makes me hate my life. It really starts to screw with your perception when everyone thinks that bikes built entirely of $300+ CF parts are pedestrian.

^^^ makes more sense than post #1
you can ignore me cuz I might be 'femaledoggin' and some people think I'm a 'donkey'. And to those that don't like me they can go to 'Hades'. Others I just go tell them to 'screw' themselves. It's all a bunch of 'poo' anyways.

Well they could get user information from BF and the cops can come and tear gas us at our homes/jobs. One good thing about Occupy BikeForums is not having to worry about where to take a dump.
