Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There are definitely some "Career Aholes" here, but for the most part, yeah.
I've gotten great info here that led me to building up my bike and getting geared up.
And not for nothing, but the Mods here are the best.
(please make that brownnosing credit out to "2ndGen" @ ...)
But seriously, the Mods here are cool.

Anybody else here experience this frustration when your thread gets infected with Flamers?

Reminds me of the stigma with the teacher's lounge. Lucky for me, the pack has changed from a bunch of close-to-retirement whiners who would just utter one name and it would snowball from there, to a bunch of science and math teachers who talk about math, sports, and Iron Chef. Oh, we do complain about the food.

I'm not that old but I can recall the teacher's lounge back in my day. It was so hazy from smoke you couldn't see exactly who was in there until you actually were in front of them. I don't think there was anybody under 70 in there but then again that could have been due to the perspective of my very young eyes. I hated going into the teacher's lounge - occasionally I'd have to bring a form to another teacher at lunch and enter that zone of intimidation.

It's a little different now that smoking is illegal within 50 feet of a school (Is that all of CA or just LA county?). Of course, few teachers go in there at all now. There's 6 or 7 of us plus 5 or 6 special ed aids and other classified staff. It's funny because the room has 7 30" round tables, but we pack all 6 or 7 of us in one table.

The Teachers' Lounge was the "secret place". I went into one once.
They had a TV in there and a Soda Machine.
I felt like Frodo when he got to Mordor.

When I was in high school, the teacher's lounge doubled as the green room for music and drama productions since it was attached to the auditorium. They really should have learned to keep the sugar cubes hidden.

I love WW, but it makes me hate my life. It really starts to screw with your perception when everyone thinks that bikes built entirely of $300+ CF parts are pedestrian.

Well they could get user information from BF and the cops can come and tear gas us at our homes/jobs. One good thing about Occupy BikeForums is not having to worry about where to take a dump.

The internet gives you pretty much what you deserve, for good or ill. I don't see why the 41 should be any different.
