Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Any comment on realcyclist.com?

They have pretty big discounts on some nice stuff right now, I'd like to know if anyone has ordered there before and if everything went well?

I've ordered bibs and bike components from them. No problems at all.

The parent company is backcountry.com and they're also behind Bonktown, Chainlove, etc. They're a good company to do business with.

They're behind Competitive Cyclist, Bonktown, and many other cycling goods related sites. Their customer service has been top notch in my dealings with them.

Their selection is limited and shipping charges are significant. I wish they combined all their various web sites together to reduce shipping charges when you order from more than one.

I've ordered from them twice - once a while back for tires and again last week for tires. The first time was entirely satisfactory, and the second is on track to be - UPS tracker says they'll be here tomorrow.

Funny thing about that last order, though...they were Conti GPs (not GP4000s), 700x28 wire bead, for $23.48 each. I'd never seen them priced that low, and when I went back this morning to check on their inventory (they started out with over 400), the tires were no longer listed. They hadn't sold them that quickly, since the inventory hadn't changed the last time I checked since the time I ordered mine. I'm guessing that someone screwed up and put them up there at their cost, then realized the mistake and took them down. No problem - I'll have the three I ordered.

Shipping seems comparable to other online stores and there's often a coupon, spend $50 to get free shipping. If you spend $100 you get free shipping no coupon needed. Prices are good and they ship fast. Recent purchase was a pump and innertube w/free economy shipping, had the items in my hand in two days.
