There is some serious lack of htfu in this thread. That being said I took last week off sick with a cold. I usually try to train through it, and continue regular workouts, but I just didn't feel like it this time. I take it in a case by case situation. I feel better now, so it's time for a workout on the trainer now.

as I've always heard, if its above the neck, you're okay to workout.
if its below the neck, no bueno.
right now my chest feels infected with something and it's SUPER hard not to want to at least climb on the trainer indoors, especially since I took yesterday off too. we'll see :/

I've been home from cycling nearly two weaks now with a pretty bad multi-cold-infection-thing.
If it's just a running nose: sure ... no problem ... go train.
But if it's an actual illness that makes you feel ill all day long ... nah ... stay home.
There's nothing wrong with taking a week or two to rest and not do any training at all, you know.
Two weeks will not make you less fit and will give your body the time to fully heal possible injuries ... even those which you might not know about yet.
Taking some time off can also empty your mind a bit and give you renewed mental strenght afterwards.

Sore throat, stomach ache, head cold and diarrhea. Still out there this morning at 6:30 a.m. doing 20 mph loops on Fiesta Island.

If theres no fever, I usually ride them colds away. But if you´re having problems with lungs you should back down for awhile. If its severe maybe check it up.
