quite frankly, I think these pictures look absolutely ridiculous, except that his father ownes the company. So, if your dad owns the company, and your name is Alessandro Colnago, is it ok to dress like this for a ride, or are you a poseur??

808's + aero booties + prototype frame = idiotic Americans chuckling. If any of you ever left the virtual world and rode enough to understand that he is standing around wearing a watch cap because he has trained his body to hold very little fat, this thread wouldn't be here. Would it.

that look is stealth with attitude. i like it.

:roflmao2:sorry, but I think he looks ridiculous... Wow, this reminds me of all of the threads on the Harley forums where the "real bikers" are whining about RUBs (Rich Urban Bikers) riding $30-40k baggers and store-bought custom bobbers..... (Just one more reason my Harley sits in the garage while my "real bikes" get ridden daily) What does it matter if his dad owns the company, or whether you do or don't like his attire, or whether he is wearing a helmet. He is riding a bike and not driving a cage, so as far as I am concerned he is a cyclist. EDIT: Ok, his Grandfather own the company.... |
He shaves his guns, he can possibly be a poser!
His grandfather owns the company.....he is Ernesto's grandson, not his son.
having been brought up in a cycling culture he's likely faster than anyone any of you guys will actually ever ride with.

Definitely not a poseur. A poseur is a wannabee. This guy is the genuine article.
Just by looking at his legs anyone should be able to tell he is legit. He could be wearing anything and that wouldnt change.
Same country as Cippolini? I'd say he's understated.

He's Italian. That's how they roll. Riding is more than exercise to them, it's fashionable and the way you dress makes a statement...
I'm Greek, I have a photo of a shepherd from a trip we made to my father's village in the late 90's. He's out with his staff and his sheep wearing a sports coat, a sweater, slacks and dress shoes. My cousins wouldn't leave the house unless their hair is perfect and they are dressed fashionably. I think he looks like someone that has been on a bike for a lot of miles. P.S. I've taken my expensive watch on a ride when staying in a hotel without a safe to leave it in... |
Looks like a hipster to me. Hipsters=Cool
Sweet ride.
This thread is a new low for the 41.

Not a poseur. I like how low-key his bike and clothes are: no giant company logos on the frame or clothes, just a discrete Colnago logo on the head tube. He should have anonymized the wheels as well, though...
