Just by looking at his legs anyone should be able to tell he is legit. He could be wearing anything and that wouldnt change.

He can wear pretty much whatever he wants. Just not digging the wool cat that is unless he knitted it himself.

I suspect this guy could outride 99.9% of posters on the 41. An excerpt about Allasandro, who by the way designs and produces his own line of cycling garb.
"A man who follows in his Grandfathers footsteps with a very keen eye for attention to detail and style. Alessandro is also a very keen cyclist and in his spare time can often be found laying down the miles on the super smooth roads of the Cambiago region. He also trains with the engineering guys from Colnago and assesses frames etc. In fact, Alessandro is very much a dedicated cyclist and speaks very passionately about the sport which is Grandfather is held in such high regard." |

First of all if your father owns the company you are pretty darn lucky by default. Secondly you sound ridiculous, jealous and would have served yourself better by not even posting.

I like wool cats.
And how do you know he has a red bootie? Is there a post of him butt-naked floating around? I for one wouldn't want to see it, but it's alright if others do. |

Anyone wonder if the red booties are intended to cover the brand of his cycling shoes, and red because he didn't want to be blacked-out? I hear Tour riders will do that when they wear non-approved (un-sponsored) shoes... perhaps that was the purpose? At first the images were quite jarring, but as others have already posted, those legs have some serous mileage in them already... no complaints here.

I was expecting a thread about certain D. Low from Hawaii.

No leaves on the trees therefore the beenie, and maybe he sticks don't get cold, therefore the shorts, and maybe he likes red shoes like....well, you know...

He's Italian. At most he may care about what other Italians think but he certainly doesn't care what YOU think.
I see people dressing 'oddly' every day but the locals here are, IMO, the best dressed people around. |

You'd think he'd be riding a more stylin' bike if his dad owns the company; not just some stealth black bike. But what do I know, I'm not Euro.

Could someone post pics of NON-poseur roadies for the sake of comparison?
|
|
Also probably not a poseur.

In Chicago last year on a night ride, there was a group of early twenties college students dressed in full "Mod" dress including loose-fitting Italian cut suits, tweed jackets and khakies, pointy-toe leather street shoes, and pastel miniskirts, all riding fixies. The only thing missing was the Vespas. Turns out there is a fairly large sub-culture of track and fixie riders who also align themselves with the Mod sub-culture.
At the SAG stops some of the guys pulled out classic english pipes and puffed away on what smelled like rum or bourbon blended tobacco, but when we got back on the road, even with their fixies in heavy traffic, they rode well and kept up a good pace. They were all very polite and yielded to riders of lesser skill levels, and they offered words of encouragement to riders who were struggling. I dare say that most of the women (girls?) were extremely fast and had impressive bike handling skills, as well as being quite hot. I guess some here might have considered them to be "poseurs", but at the 25 mile mark most looked very fresh and relaxed, where many of the "kitted" riders could be found lying on their backs in the grass..... Maybe someone here should define "poseur" so that we can all understand just who these illusive individuals are....... |
The more illuminating term considerate of the location of this conversation is posteur.

This guy? http://averagejoecyclist.com/wp-cont...y08-skinny.jpg But he has a police bike escort and is waggling his hands in victory, so I guess he has won a race. Or could be a celebrity cutting up after making it up a tough 8% grade perhaps? You see why this poser stuff can be difficult.

either way, schwag bike. You would think his bike would have Campy and Boras... I think it's safe to assume he chooses whatever he wants to put on his bikes. |
