Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Roubaix Comp vs. Roubaix Pro

What's the difference between the Roubaix pro and the Roubaix comp frames. Is the pro's framee matte black and the Comp glossy? Any owners out there race one? How is it?

I believe that is the only difference - the finish. I happen to own a Pro, and love the thing. Fast, yet extraordinarily comfy!

I'm with skydive69, the frame is the same except the finish. I also own the Pro and just wanted to go with Dura Ace, the Comp has Ultegra and different wheels, though both rode much the same (short test rides). The Dura Ace was a little smoother but not much. I don't race, just ride and LOVE it.

Yeah, one of "our guys" bought the Comp, so we scrounged around for info, and found that the only difference is the finish and (obviously) all the bits

Recently bought the Pro. After test riding ~20 bikes this one just seemed to fit like a glove on me.

That's precisely what happened to me. I test rode more expensive bikes such as the Scott CR1 team bike, but the Roubaix Pro and I fit so well. I was also lucky to get a 2004 leftover at a great price of $3150, and it happened to be in my size - 56 cm!
