Mounting stuff on integrated bars/stem? FSA Control Center?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mounting stuff on integrated bars/stem? FSA Control Center?

I just got one of those integrated bar and stem handlebars, the FSA Plasma. The stem portion is square-ish and the bar tops are kinda wide and flat (more aero? debatable). This means it's hard to put on a regular computer or light mount because those usually use some kinda of round mounting clamp. I think I successfully got my computer mount on the stem portion, hopefully it's not loose and won't rub through the stem from road vibration. But now there's no more space to put on a little be seen headlight.

Anybody use the FSA Control Center accessory mount and like it? Is it pretty stable? How wide and how many things were you able to mount to it? Anybody use the one specifically made for the Plasma? I'm kinda not wanting to splurge the extra $25-30 but if it's awesome I'll get it...

The standard Control Center (made for 31.8mm bars) has 2 very bad reviews on Amazon.com, but I found some pics of Pro Tour dudes with huge computers attached to their Plasma bars using the Plasma Control Center. I've seen the Plasma in person and it's beefy and oval everywhere-- or at least, not 31.8mm round. I'm sure you have accessory mounting issues.

If you already pulled the trigger on the Plasma and you like it, I don't see how you could not try the Control Center. I also don't think many BF members use integrated bars so you probably won't get a lot of direct feedback.

Just mounted a FSA Control Center on my K-Wings. Very secure, as long as you torque the bolts to spec it's not moving anywhere. The mounting arm is plastic so overtorquing will probably not damage the bars anyway. Got a Garmin Edge 500 mounted on it with no issues. I like it because I can change the viewing angle of the Garmin versus when it was mounted on the stem.

$14 brand new in the package on eBay.
