Bib Knickers for tall guy

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bib Knickers for tall guy

I am 6'5" 175. I have a hard enough time finding bibs as it is (too loose in the waist), but now I am searching for a specific type of bib and I am wondering if any other tall guys have had luck.

I like the idea of using wool because it often times rains here in the NW, and I like how wool still feels warm when wet. I also like knickers because my calves are never cold and knee warmers with shorts leave my crotch too cold.

So my question: Any success with tall skinny guys buying bib knickers? More specifically, wool?

I had some Ibex El Fito's a couple years ago (not bibs) but my manhood chaffed painfully on a 4 hour sub 30 degree ride. Maybe I was trying to use them in too cold of weather. I also didn't like the chamois.

Smartwool? Kucharik? Or not wool: Castelli? Performance? These are some of the companies I've heard size tall and skinny well, but I want to know specifically about bib knickers.

Take a look at Hincapie. You are 3" taller than me, but theirs may work for you. Kinda spendy, but probably no more than others of similar (high) quality. I found mine on Ebay for $30, though.

I'm 6'5" and I have a few pairs of 2XU that are perfect.

I'm a bit heavier though at 220. I'm a 36 in jeans, etc and wear a Large in the 2XUs if that helps.

Another option is to get some 2XU compression pants (they have a tall fit that are super long) and just put any old black riding shorts over them.

By the way...i dont work for 2XU!
