bike adjustments?
hi,
right now, my seat is just a tad bit higher than the drop bars so it's not very aggressive at all.
i don't ever plan to race but im wondering if later on i find that i wanna try a more aggressive riding position, will i still be able to make adjustments?
im asking bec with the default seat height, my legs are already almost full stretch when the pedal is on the low position. so that means i can't raise the seat any further? i think i still have a little room to make the drop bars lower though... i think.
i'm 5'9" and my bike is a 50cm. i think my inseam is 32. i just know i always buy 30-32 pants lol.

Saddle height should only be adjusted to accommodate your leg position. If you want to adjust your riding position in terms of aggressiveness, you'll be looking at changing stem lengths and spacer additions/removals.

50cm is tiny. I have a few mates your height and they're all on 56s. I'd imagine if it was 50 you'd have an extremely aggressive position...and a real need for a 400mm seat post.
What sort of bike is it?

im about 5 7/8ish with about a 30 inseam (for pants, but i always end up with 32's lol) and im a 54, and i think i want a longer stem, i would think you're pretty cramped up in there

To the OP...measure your inseam and get back to us cos that bike looks crazy small.

Yes, you can lower those bars a crazy amount yet with a different stem.
And, yes, a 50cm bike is most likely too small for a 5'9" person.

I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam and ride a 54-55 cm (Giant's Medium size). A 50 cm bike does sound kind of small for you.

That bike's got a huge headtube for a 50cm frame. I'm terrible at guessing frame sizes except for those of bikes like that Miyata.
Me? 5'6", 32.5" actual inseam. 52cm bike C-C.

There's a lot of room for adjustment.

+1. Plenty of room. Looks like close to 3" drop available by flipping stem and putting spacers above it.

Well you say you have good leg extension and to me, the saddle height looks like it's within the realm of normalcy for a bike that fits.
Just gotta de-freddify your controls a bit and you'll be set.

Just get those bars a little lower. I used to run mine about 4" below saddle but now in my advanced age I like my bars a little more Fredly @ about 3 inches below my saddle.

If you want to see what your leg extension looks like, you can ride past some buildings with big windows on the first floor, use them as mirrors. Then look up some race videos to see what typical leg extensions look like. There should be a very noticeable bend in the knee when the pedal is at the bottom ("6 oclock").
