Clamp on cable stop for CAAD9?
I just now started really building up the CAAD9 frame I got back in Sept/Oct. I got the frame for $150, which is flawless except for the top half of the drive side downtube cable stop is broken off. The guy I got it from had a picture on the CL ad showing how he held the cable in place with 2 zip ties, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how it stayed put.
It seems a tad infeasible to try to solder another one on there, as it would probably just end up making the frame explode, melt into a pool of liquid metal, etc. Short of running full cable housing to the RD, I was wondering if anyone has used one of the various clamp on cable stops I've seen online? Or if anyone happens to know of a way to repair/replace the injured part, I would be forever in your debt. ...Or at least for a few minutes.

I'd probably try cutting most of the clamp off of one of these(https://www.amazon.com/ORIGIN8-Alloy-...7655337&sr=1-1) and using JB Weld(https://jbweld.net/products/jbweld.php) to attach it. If that didn't work I'd move on from there.
