Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

10 Degrees Stem Owners!

Can anyone here post pics of their 10 degree stems? I'm thinking about picking up a thomson x2 stem in the near future. Was wondering how cool it will look on my road bike.

Cheers,
Susan

If you're worried about aesthetics of stem angles a lot depends on the angle of the top tube in my opinion. Frames with a slight slope look best with a mid angled stem (-6 to -12°) whereas a horizontal top tube often looks good with a -17° to make everything parallel.

Stem parallel to TT parallel to ground. An imprecise use of the word 'everything.'

(Assumes a HTA in the region of 72-73°.)

Nope. They only have a 0 and 10 degree option.

There isn't much difference between 6^ and 10^ stems visually.

Some decent and not so decent photos of my bike with a -10 degree Thomson X4. Hope this helps.

Yeah, the extra 4 degrees really increases the cool factor.
