Time/Speedplay shoes
What shoes are time/speedplay drilled? I'm having an impossible time finding any. I know I can use an adaptor with almost any set of shoes, but I'm trying to avoid that.

They don't fit three hole systems, they come with their own adaptor plate, which I'd rather not have to use. I'm going to end up using speedplay pedals reguardless because of the float, but if I can I'd like to lower the stack height, get an extra part out of the system and save a little weight.

Google the Carnac Silex. Can get those cheap now.

To clear up terms speedplay pedals come with 1) a shim 2) a baseplate
The baseplate essentially changes a three hole shoe to a four hole shoe, at the cost of a few mm and grams. The shim adjusts curvature of the shoe so the cleat has a flat area to attach to.
One has to use the shim in almost all cases, but if one has a four hole shoe already there is no need to use the baseplate.

Problem is, there’s not many good 4 hole shoes left on the marked except
for custom ones. (Read expensive).
Might be able to get the adidas Frosco and as I wrote earlier,
the Carnac Silex is on sale all over U.S. now.
But, even they wont give you a better stack height or weight than a good 3 hole shoe.
