A little heavy mist/light drizzle on the morning ride but the torrential downpour occurred just after lunch whereupon I was snug as a bug in a rug.

I still broke an axle which was bad. Breaking solid axles is a little worse than breaking QR axles. Probably never shoulda gone DJing with that wheel.

Weather Channel says a couple chances of snow for us in the next couple of days! The Norwegian Weather service says so too. I doubt any will stick if that really happens. World Weather Online and NOAA say just varying amounts of rain.

I take it the blacker than satan's bunghole ride didn't go so well this morning?

Jeez, I can't believe that stupid underwear thread is still on page one.

Luckily it's near the bottom so hopefully gone and never to be heard from again.

You listening, Whoooossshie??!?

wut

Officially our snowfall earlier this week only amounted to "T". So we remain at 0.1" this winter.

dstrong 02-22-12 11:08 AM

It's currently 81 and sunny in Austin...time for a noon ride.

Soloist Assassin 02-22-12 11:40 AM

Has anyone seen the show, "Doomsday Preppers" on the National Geographic channel? A friend just turned me on to it. I need more guns, ammo, food, water, and I need to patch things up with my ex-girlfriend who is a nurse.

mvnsnd 02-22-12 11:57 AM

You also probably need to build a better 'compound' based on the one episode I saw.

Velo Vol 02-22-12 11:58 AM

I need an underground shelter to protect myself from nutty survivalists.

patentcad 02-22-12 12:12 PM

My ride this AM was very relaxing and uneventful.

Dang...missed that window of opportunity. Stupid work. Now shooting for late afternoon as long as I can clear my calendar.

It's pretty hard to do situps when you have a standard poodle puppy, and he thinks it's a game. It becomes a contact sport.

My ride this afternoon was nice and warm considering Feb 22. Sure am glad I didn't go out in the cold and dark at 5:30 AM.

For some reason, this design has yet to catch on.

Forget that. Whats with the avatar...Is that Russia or something?...does it relate somehow to you? Can't be tennesse, all my realitives are from there and I don't see any outside washer or dryers on the front porch or a car on cinder blocks...hmmm:rolleyes: Just curious...

True, but the "lack of ride time making all more tolerable" is unfortunately still seasonal for me. Everything is far more entertaining in BF when balanced against regular 2-3hr daily rides. Spring and longer days cannot come quickly enough...

rjones28 02-22-12 08:41 PM

The Hot r Not thread seems to have come unhinged.

We covered this earlier. It's Ukraine, from whence my maternal ancestors came. They did not have washers or dryers inside or outside the house.
