Strong Carbon Frames?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fixed for accuracy.

No. The problem with this is that you see too many posts as being related to frame material.

Bikes: Some bikes. Hell, they're all the same, ain't they?

Writing posts and then deleting them immediately just screams "chicken-sh--" to me. And no, you're not the first to do it.

yeah but you do this in every single thread about frame material, new bike threads, and many others. and then you end up with pages of arguing that nobody ever "wins". i don't see how you can say that you're trying to be helpful when you have to know what's going to happen. if you are really trying to helpful maybe you just should drop the campaign, suppress every urge you have to "help" and just let the fools have their frame material debates.

I didn't realize that I was being quite that repugnant. However, I do enjoy discussing frame materials. I suppose, I'll just have to streamline input with regards to frame materials.

This is why I wanted to "block [SlimRider] whenever he posts about [carbon]". Not every post of his is useless, but these material debates of his are exceptionally tiring.

You could have PM 'ed me about your personal feelings, BarracksSi. I thought we were close to being friends.

Well, I will promise you guys this:

I will try not to ever initiate a post concerning frame materials. However, I will feel free to chime in whenever a thread has already begun that's related to frame materials.

Is that good enough?

And by the way: "close to being friends"? What are you smoking?

How come it seems like I have seen this same thread over, and over, and over, and over lately?

I'm pretty sure this is yet another carbon thread that has run it's course. I must say, I am getting very tired of locking every thread that involves members asking about carbon frames.
