Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2011 fuji newest 4.0

Hey guys I just got a 2011 fuji newest 4.0. It was on sale for 400 dollars and as a new cyclist I thought it might be better to get more riding experience and leg strength before buying a higher end bike. I actually just got a db insight 1 and I love it but I started seeing the benefits of a actual road bike after riding a hybrid a few 100 miles. Someone told me on the forums that If I thought a hybrid was a great upgrade from my Walmart mtb I'd be blown away with a road bike. They were right. Its a blast to ride. Let's just say my wife got a new db insight lol.

I did a search online and I know it can be done but i couldn't find a detailed list of parts and maybe intuitions on converting the down tube shifters to sti shifters. I don't mind having down tube shifters. But its more of a convenience thing. I just was hoping to find more information In case I decide to convert it myself. Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance
