I am seeking some more advice, in temperatures around 10-15 degrees Celsius what do your prefer:
Knee warmers or leg warmers? Arm warmers or long sleeve base layer or jacket? |
I love my Craft Pro Zero Extreme base layer. I tried the merino wool jersey as a base layer but it did not dry fast enough. At the end of a ride, I was cold and the fabric was weighed down with sweat.

I bought a wind vest and a thermal vest on sale at voler a little while back that I wear over an wicking shirt.
I find those over a base layer actually keep me a lot warmer than just a jersey.. plus they have pockets. |
Man, I love merino wool as a base layer, whether skiing or cycling in cool to cold temps. Keeps me warm when I need it, stays comfy when damp, wicks sweat almost instantly anyway, and stays fresh for three days of skiing on a trip.
fstshrk, I don't know about jerseys, but 100% merino wool works so well as a base layer, I have to wonder what your jersey was made of. |

A thermal vest for recovery rides, but arm warmers for sure. I've never worn long sleeved jerseys as I've found them to be used in a small range of temperatures. You can always tuck arm warmers in your pockets. |
