Do I have the right chainring?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Do I have the right chainring?

I have a Shimano 105 triple 10-speed and need to replace the middle (39 tooth) ring. Have a 39 ring (Shimano FC-5700S). The packaging says it is for a double. Will this work on my triple?

TIA

Tony

You want the 5703S. The double version does not have the shaping on the inner side that makes the 30->39 shift smooth. Luckily it can be had for relatively cheap https://www.amazon.com/130mm-10spd-Tr.../dp/B0055WPM7O

Thanks for the help. Description for the one I ordered was 39T. I thought the "T" was for triple, but I guess not. Right one is on the way soon.

T stands for tooth.
