Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You've been a good patient. But maybe you should take your rides easier because of the time you spent off the bike, you need to get some of your fitness back.

I finally took the snow tires off the commuter and I've started commuting again.

Hammering on a Big Dummy hurts.

And it poured rain on my ride home my first commute ride back.

Still, good to be back on the wagon again. It was wayyyyy too easy to just drive the car every day.

I'm really enjoying that Telluride thread. I'm spending a week in CO in July, going to Telluride and Breckenridge. Planning on hiking and riding. We are driving, so the bikes will be in the truck (with my compact). I doubt my wife is going to ride in Telluride, but she wants to ride around the lake in Breck. My solo rides should be fun and challenging.

Bikes: everywhere

Woohooo! Major upgrade to the Diamondback Interval today!

Went from:
Joytech rear hub of poo/Alex something or other
To:
Shimano Tiagra/Alex something or other.

Front is a NICE single wall Araya laced to 105 hub (but I've had that wheel on front for a while now)

Soon to be burnin' up the roads of eastern Oregon.

Last day of not being able to ride. Can't wait until tomorrow when I can FINALLY get back on the bike!

Here is the ride that I "didn't" do tonight. If I had done it I would have managed to get three new PR's.

Incorrect, I'll just be calling you a Fred that finished an old man race.

You underscore your Fredliness with this statement, because I can assure you the fast guys in that 45+ race are VERY fast. You have no idea.

Why do I burn valuable Kj's responding to your Fredicisms?
