Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The head tube+fork marriage looks like a divorce waiting to happen. Hideous.

Would like to see more of that rear brake cable routing though.

EDIT: I'm no physicist, but I wonder if rear brakes there introduce potential for new forms of vibration if not adjusted correctly. Sort of like canti-shudder at the head tube.

I'd be concerned about debris (small gravel, dirt/sand, etc) lodging itself between the pad and the wheel ... could lead to some serious grooving in the wheel. Perhaps it won't be an issue.

you have a better chance of that happening in the old position...the wheel doesn't spin backwards.......

I think you misunderstood. I was talking about the front wheel kicking up debris and having it get caught by the rear caliper. If the grooves in my Di2 battery can get dirt/sand and debris lodged in there, I'd imagine a brake caliper could too. I've ridden on relatively new pavement and had hot gritty tar sprayed up the underside of the BB. With a caliper there it might get even more. This might be great for time trial bikes that are on relatively pristine roads, but I wonder how it will hold up for the every day Joe on every day roads.

I'm sure it is fine but it just seems more vulnerable there, especially for people that have to travel gravel roads to reach the good stuff.

That brake placement has to make it tough to adjust on the go...
