Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

welcome aboard.

Lots of information here, just remember the information you read here may or may not be accurate. Try to confirm anything here with other sources. The local library and the internet are great tools.

Also there is a search feature on this forum that can be very useful for finding several threads on the same topic.

Welcome, take everything you hear with a grain of salt, and maintain your sense of humour. That said, this place and its people are a goldmine, enjoy.

Welcome

Like the above people have said, take everything in stride here. The most common and truthful answers you will find:
1) Get a bike fit
2) Opinions are great but a lot of items are best answered by your own personal preference
3) Do a search first (you can still ask the same questions but at elast you have an insight before starting)
4) A sense of humor is a must
