Selle SLR saddle question

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Selle SLR saddle question

for those many of you that ride this saddle, does it grip your shorts well? I looked all over until i found a place i could demo the Kit Carbonia and so far i like it but its slippery as hell. I put in about 60 miles today with minimal soreness(in the right places at least) but i was having trouble with it being so slick. Just wondered if the production saddles had any more texture to them or the DEMO saddles were different material. TIA

I use the one with cut out (flow) version and never had issues with sliding around. The only saddle that felt like I was sliding all over initially until it was a little broken in was Brooks B-17 though.
(I tried Selle Italia Gel Flow, Fizik Kurve, Arione, Selle Italia Superflow, and few others over time).
Right now B-17 on more cruising type bike and Selle Italia Carbonio flow for more racey one.
