chamois creme
anyone here notice how it makes your saddle more rubbery than normal? just curious
|
So, where are you putting the chamois cream? From your post it sounds like you're putting it on the saddle.
|
Then there's the funny spelling. I'm not asking more

was at bed bath and beyond looking for foot balm and two girls were trying to help me and suggested "bag balm" and the other nodded. they had no idea what it was and I told them it's for men and "sports" activities ... but I didn't get into details. they were cute though I would have loved to if we were in a bar

The last thing I want is a "rubbery saddle...."
Comment on a ride when discussing the merits of Chamois Butter: "I'm uncomfortable hearing you guys talking about lubing up your asses...." |

I've been battling saddle soreness for a bit and have noticed that, when using "taint butter" (I should call it margerine...because it taint butter....), most of it ends up softening the leather on my San Marco Rolls. This didn't happen back in the days when I could afford a real chamois. The new "breathable" and absorbant chamois just suck up buttloob, no matter where you apply it...skin or chamois. Maybe I should get my crotch coated with Teflon.....
I think I'll try a new saddle instead. |
Buttonhole, i like that. teehee

They sell bag balm at Bed, Bath, and Beyond?

I have to look for Bag balm when I'm @ B,B,&B next time. Saw a product called Monkey/Munkey Butt @ the local Pharmacy. It's just glorified Baby powder/Talc powder. |

bag balm is for cows. Which is udderly ridiculous they sell it at BB&B.
Do you see what i did there? |
Every pharmacy has it, its lanolin, used on farms to reduce soreness of the "utter? (sp) used by people as suntan lotion, chamois butter (like down under) etc...stuff is good and cheap.
Probably a great cream to use on these pesky leather saddles( brooks) to break them in |
I see what you did there, and you're right. Bag balm is for cows udders.
