Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rule #1 - dont rush out and do something to your bike because someone on BF said you should.

You may want to flip it at some point, or you may not. You are already making a pretty big position adjustment as it is. Ride it a lot first, then experiment if you think there might be something to gain.

No. (personal opinion)

Most people who have them swear by them.

Great looking bike!

So, how are you liking it so far?
And please tell me you got some new pedals!
How often and how far are you riding?
I'm looking into getting one of these, they come with lot's of nice components for the price.

Nice bike! Red accents, cables, brake pad holders, valve cap, wheel reflectors...lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?

Lol. That picture was when I pulled it off my truck the first time at the house. I did get some shimano 105 pedals.

I took those today...

I usually ride 20 miles a day through the week and a longer 30-40 mile ride on Saturday. I love it. Everything is still sooooooo smooth and I even lucked out that my ass really likes the seat. Id recommend one to anybody.

Glad to hear you're liking the new ride. I just picked up the same bike (1st road bike about 3 weeks ago).

Put down 140 miles and am really enjoying it.

Only other thing I did was take of the "dork disc" clear plastic disc on the cassette.

Also - your bar tape is waaaay to clean. Ride that thing will yah?

Ill pull the dork disk when I take the back wheel off until then it doesn't bother me much. The bar tape does bother me though. I wish it was black so I don't have to clean it all the time. I hate white parts looking nasty.

Yeah they are. I really like the side entry, especially on the seat tube where its hard to get taller bottles out of top entry cages. I go over some rough transitions on my routes and never have a problem with the specialized bottles moving.
