irvine is nice. a little expensive because it's in orange county, but what the hey, right? it's only 50 miles north of where i am and there are alot of nice places to ride -- lotsa hills and close to the mountains and the coast.

It is a planned community with bike trails everywhere. 82 degrees at the moment. I'm next door in Newport Beach.

Don't be too jealous. I only rode for 2 hrs. Spent the first 1.5 hrs messing with my bike. Put on a new to me 9spd DA cassette* on my old wheels -- keeping my better wheels for the climbing -- only to get 5 minutes from my house to have a tube blow... replace the tube and see the tire starting to split and tube coming out :eek: Turns out that three of my four tires were near death :o silly me. Put on some new tires I bought two weeks ago. Made some adjustments and finally got on the road.

Someday soon, you'll go play and I'll be stuck at work.

Absolutly beautiful today... a nice 80 degrees here in socal... darn classes all day (8 am to 6:00 pm). 7:00 pm is the monthly club meeting so I guess I will not be going out today :(
