Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

does my sunscreen still work?

BTW... it's so freakin hard to find neutrogena active protect men's face lotion spf50+. even their main website doesn't have it. i need to find a replacement. im down to 1.

anyway... i put sunscreen 30 mins before going to work.

i work 8hrs and 1hr lunch. indoors almost all the time except when i have to walk dogs or assist clients outside the hospital.

when it's time to go home, is it still protecting me?

i know if you're under the sun all day... you should reapply every 2 hours or so. but what if im indoors in between?

thanks.

Reapply. You'll gradually sweat it out/absorb it/rub it off on your clothes.

ack thanks!

this will make me go through it 2x as much.

i think it's still cheaper than gas though. bike gets 35 mpg, car 14 mpg. plus, i get a minor workout w/ the pedal bike.

The extra weight of the sun screen is really hurting your bike mpg.

It stays on all day if you're not sweating, rubbing on it, or going in a pool. You only have to reapply after one of those. You can put it on in the AM and it'll be good all through the day.

I've tested this both with swimming and cycling when I knew I had a 4PM high summer workout, either swim or bike with no time to apply it after work. (You can imagine how ridiculous I'd look in the bathroom smearing that stuff onto my chest, back etc in prep for swimming. Cycling it's easy - just face and legs and arms.) Works all day.

Reapply after sweat, pool, shower, or rubbing off.
