Anyone have a good site where I can buy speedplay zeros? They seem to be the lightest pedals they make.

Google shopping seems to think nashbar has the best price at $130. They do not seem to be on sale very often.
A few of my friends and I switched from Looks to speedplay zeros and have loved them. I like stomping down on the pedal and going. One less thing to worry about at the line.

Light pedals with heavy cleats!

The Keywin's are on par with Speedplay in pedal weight, have a broader platform, and light cleats. Plus you can adjust the tension of the float.

The keywins look lpretty good, anyone else use em?

wtf? 10gm heavier than look blade, but $280 cheaper. are they talking about us dollars. i could get the blades for ~$200 from xxcycles.

US dollars. Features are:

1. Float is in the pedal body. The pedal body rotates side to side on the spindle 6 degrees so the cleat/pedal body never move against each other. Extremely stable interface.
2. Extremely light weight - entire system not just the pedal.
3. Largest pedal platform that I know of for a clipless system.
4. Tension on float is adjustable. I don't know of any other pedal system that does this. Can even be locked out entirely without changing cleats.
5. Cheap. Most other pedals in this weight class are $300 or more. The ti version of this pedal can be had for well under $200.

I checked reviews on them the last time someone threw the suggestion out there. Reviewers seem to like them but note a significant knock - they're tricky to get in to. For those of us that use our bikes in a lot of stop-and-go situations, it could be a deal breaker.

I read that too although right now I'm taking that with a little bit of a grain of salt as the reviewers I saw that made that criticism had not used the pedals long term. One reviewer even came back and edited his review saying once the bearing broke in it was easier to clip in.

Speedplay inverts the paradigm, putting the mechanism on the shoe and a simple "cleat" on the crank. The nice thing is it's two-sided. When comparing any pedal weight, it's a good idea to include the weight of the cleats to get a more complete picture.

Out of the types of pedal systems I've had or tried, Look, Speedplay, Eggbeaters, and SPDs, I prefer SPDs. Their downside is few good road shoes that take the cleats are available, and walking on them is bad except on mtb or touring shoes where they are recessed. If the sole of of the shoe is stiff, the size of the pedal platform is irrelevant, IMO.
