Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fenders?

This spring I got my first ever road bike. First ever fenderless bike. I LOVE it. Use it for training, joy rides and COMMUTING. Autumn is comming, rainy days. I would never ride a bike without fenders in the rain (or wet), but I really love the way road bike rides. It's a frame with a bit more room, so 25 mm tyres could fit, and it has holes for adding fenders and rear rack. What fenders are good for a road bike? Something that can easily be taken off would be nice.

Plastic SKS or Planet Bike. Those are the two most commonly found in bike shops. I had aluminum Honjo fenders on my commuter but prefer plastic fenders because they don't rattle.

Look into RaceBlade set of fenders. Look also into Bontrager's Interchange Nebula set of "removable" fenders.

I vote for SKS, too. I have Raceblades on one bike, but don't like them as well.

SKS P35s are what works for me. They take longer to install, and they are somewhat permanent (you don't want to take em on and off), but they work great.

I found it funny.

I need fenders to keep the drivetrain and work clothes as clean as possible. Anyway, I thought keeping up pace when riding in a group with fenders on your bike and fatter tyres does make you HTFU?

Googling for the recommended models looks and prices. Thanks guys.
