Bianchi Infinito: another what's my size thread.
Hey guys, first road bike after riding BMX, mountain, and Hybrid since I was a kid. Fell in love with the Infinito and ordered it. It's on it's way (hopefully) in a size 59.
Here's the issue. I am 6'3 with a 34.5" inseam. Not many bikes at your LBS are in the bigger side so I haven't been able to sit on many. I once sat on a 58" Supersix and the sales guy said I should be in a 60". I felt like the 58" was big enough. Same thing goes for my hybrid. I walk into stores and everyone thinks I should ride a size bigger than what I have in mind. As you all may know the Infinito comes in odd number sizes. So if I am a 60 according to that sales guy and a 58 according to a Bianchi dealer they suggested I get the 59. I have never sat on a Infinito for reference.
What do you road guys think? I know many will say "what feels comfortable". But what might feel comfortable at the moment may not be the right size.

After looking at the geometry chart at Competitive Cyclist, I'd have gone with a 61. I'm your height and very comfortably ride a 61cm Roubaix.

Bike geometries differ, but i would guess you would fit best on a 58 or 59 in most bikes. I'm an inch shorter than you and ride a 58cm on current bike

If it's on the bike in your avatar, you ride a ton more drop than a bike like an Infinito is designed for. But we all differ in dimensions and what we find comfortable. What Elduderino and I ride is pretty much irrelevant to what the OP will find to fit. I do know that I would be very cramped from a reach perspective on the 58 Infinito with my comfortable drop.

Cool! No offense, I know that Celeste is their color, but I think it looks terrible. Lol. I got the red and white which looks amazing. Didn't go for Ultegra, but I'll upgrade as I go..

I'm 6'3" and wear 34" inseam slacks. The ett of my bikes are: 58.6cm (Madone 4.5, 60cm size), 58.6cm (Kestrel RT800-SL, 59cm size), and 58cm (Pinarello FP6, 57.5 cm size). They have either a 110mm or 120mm stem, depending on the reach of the bars.

The red/white Infinito looks nice, Bianchi does a good job with their colors.
For me, however, it is Passione Celeste in full Campy gear, or nothing.
Regardless of your color choice you will love your Infinito.
I own a Colnago C59 but I still love riding my Infinito.
Good luck. BTW, did you keep your hybrid?

And you would ride more scrunched up than any good rider I know.
