Replacing Fulcrum Racing7 wheel set. Is $500 enough ?
Looking to replace my CAAD10 wheel set And looking for some guidance. There seems to be a new wheel set post every day, but hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I'm maxing out at $500. Should I just save more money and keep what I have?

I had Fulcrum 6 (stock) and replaced with PSIMET wheels. Big difference. Lighter, faster and cool-looking. They are not 500.00 That said the Fulcrums are adequate for everyday riding, and certainly tough. If I didn't have the cash for new wheels I would live with the Fulcrums as they're decent wheels.

I think you can get a set of Ultegra wheels for about that much. As for The question of improved or noticeable difference between the wheel set you have and a $500.....well, you probably won't feel much difference at all. But you could get a bit of a placebo effect and the new wheels will have a bit of the old bling factor as well.
As long as you have $500 burning a hole in your pocket I say do it....if it is a financial stretch for you then its not worth it at all.

Do you race or do you just have $500 to burn?

So you're just gloating? Makes you feel better? Wait, let me take a sip of my coffee......aaahhhhh.
You got a great deal, and I suppose patience is a virtue when scanning Ebay or CL or wherever you got them. But if there's a sale on for Fulcrum 3's at >$500, share them would you?

It's not per say burning a hole in my pocket, but I sure would like to spend it on my bike
I'm looking to lose some weight from the current wheel set and maybe make climbing a little bit easier... If thats ever possible
. Those Boyds look very nice! I might add the extra 50 and get those.

These come with tires and tubes.
I have the Fulcrum 7's also. Thinking of the Neuvation r28sl that come with a new SRAM cassette and chain for $399. 1510g. Decent reviews, hard to beat that price.

For that price, I'd spring for these: https://www.novemberbicycles.com/fsw-23/

Anyone have any opinions on these?
1467g! vs Fulcrum's 1850g. Why are they so cheap???
Vuelta Corsa Slr Road Wheelset

$379 on NashBar right now.
