Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

moldable shimano shoe?

Who's used these shoe for a second fit? I got some custom foot bed insole (high arch support)from my foot doc to correct my flat feet. I want to be able to use them in my shoe. anyone know if these moldable inserts can be reheated for the second run. I never knew the shoe itself can be heated to fit my foot also. Any thoughts?

I have the same problem with very high arches plus wide feet. I looked at the Shimano, but in the end chose the Sidi Mega together with custom orthodics which stop just behind my toes. I actually had the orthodics made several years ago for use in normal shoes, but never thought to use them bicycling. Then I began getting a lot of pain in the ball of my foot and tested all sorts of alternatives before using my orthodics, which completely solved my problem.
