Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cheap bike stuff at aldi!

On Thursday Aldi are having a sale of Bike winter bike things (Clothes, etc), cheap, but the pants and jerseys are usually pretty great.

Just don't go to the one in Shaw, that's mine!

PS this is UK, I don't know about elsewhere.

Not fair, not fair, not fair! Aldi should have the exact same specials out here in Redneckia as in the UK!

If I buy those cheap bike shoes, do I just screw the cleats to the bottom of them, and is there an advantage to putting road pedals on my road bike (which has toe clips) vs the current SPD pedals I have on the my mtb?

I much prefer clipless to toe clips. If you already have clipless on your mtn bike, I would think you like them better than toe clips, no ?
It's up to you.

(No bike stuff at Aldi here either .... soup, cereal, overstock folding chairs, pots & pans ...)
