I love the CAAD 10 frame so I'm always keeping my eye out for one.
I came accross this on Ebay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/180976773677...84.m1436.l2649
The seller clearly states and shows pictures of some "paint chips/scratches" and explains how they got there. I live near him so I ask if I can pick up locally. Within the hour he answers no problem and tells me the neighborhoods he lives and works in, says I can pick up from either.
Am I asking for trouble or is this a good deal for a bike that is aesthetically imperfect?
Based on where the chips are, it doesn't look like it was crashed. It also looks like it is only the paint that is chipped. What say you my BF family, go for this or wait for something else to come along???

Ask for a bill of sale. If asked why, just say that you'll need one for warranty purposes. If it hasn't been registered already, do so.
Sorry if that's a long shot, but that's all I've got, man.

Doesn't look too bad to me. I would be fine with it if the price is right.

Did you end up winning the auction?
I might be a little skeptical, considering that the damage on the down tube is in the middle of the tube, which is the thinnest section. Then again, I tend to be rather conservative about things like that, and it is hard to say without seeing the bike and examining it hands on.
