Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Giant frame size for me

Hey, found a used 2010 m/l giant tcr advanced sl for sale. Was wondering what you guys think about the fit for my size. I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam measuring with a book up tight against the goods. I'm kind of a newbie to bike racing, but would like to go ahead and get something nice instead of buying a bike and wishing I bought something better later. Thanks for any help guys.

Do some more research on "fit calculator" to establish a baseline of sorts.

I have a buddy your exact dimensions and he rides a M/L TCR and it fits perfectly.

You will hear a lot of guys on the 41 suggest you would fit better on a Medium because a lot of guys on this forum try to emulate pros even though they don't have the goods to pull it off.

A smaller frame allows a lower handlebar height, so a "pro" can get more aerodynamic.

At 5'10", you could go with either a medium or large frame. Your height is in the middle of the two sizes.
