Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pro fit more comfortable but tight hamstrings?

I have been riding for a few years and racing for the last year. I recently went for a pro fit. We lowered my saddle by a full cm put a longer stem on (90 mm to 110 mm) and a few other changes. I feel significantly more comfortable on my bike no more crotch numbness pain all pretty much gone, hands comfortable, etc. But the trade off i find my hamstrings are getting tight while pedaling same with my calf's a bit. Is it just my body getting used to the new position of being lower and longer? any help is appreciated thanks.

Yeah it takes a few weeks to adjust. Your working some different muscles and you will feel it for sure. Just work through it and you will get back to feeling great. Do you have a powermeter to see any changes?
