what does the 'six' in 'super six' or 'system six' mean?

Six is the atomic number of carbon on the periodic table of elements. Cannondale use to make a Six/Thirteen model, thirteen is the atomic number of aluminium.

I would have assumed it was made out of neon. A frame made out of xenon would be the SuperLIV.
