Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just checked out the Republic of Anaerobia website... cracked me up! I think the idea is a great one, but I wonder how many Anaerobes are out there. Anyone in the South/Tennessee?

Don't know who makes them (Voler ?), but I may give them a try for the cool factor alone

GREAT find. The riders in Austin have a great sense of humor -- I don't actually own any cycling-specific clothing 'cept for the cleats, but I'd love these and the Spongebob (or similarly off-beat) jersey for the next group ride. I've been looking for a way to design my own jerseys lately, but any artistic talent I might have on the laptop does not translate to the airbrush...

Most of 'em still live in NorCal. Don't know if any have emigrated to the southeastern part of the country. If they did it probably wasn't of their own free will.
